Dear Brenda,
A proposal for a little fun. I just began another 30-day Rail on Amtrak. I intend to send Cathy a card each day with the day number and mileage. I propose a contest, "What about Bob?" or "Where is Bob?" which is explained on the enclosed sheet. I think (and, I may be flattering or deluding myself) that it could add a little fun to office if the cards were posted/taped within the context of people guessing how many miles I will end up traveling.
Regardless of your opting for another one of my corny ideas, I respect you which includes appreciating your being a better than average manager that makes Cathy's day less hectic.
