Freedom of Speech:

Does the speech lead to more freedom
from problems?

  1. Is it free speech to yell fire in a crowded theatre when there is no fire nor smoke, that is, yelling fire for the fun of it to vocally vandalize the private and free time of others?
  2. Is it free speech to encourage hate of people who have done nothing wrong except that they are different than you?
  3. Is it free speech when an aged pedophile whispers sweet words of seduction into the ears of young children?
  4. Is it free speech when a politicians gives a demogogic speech full of lies and half-truths to mislead an audience?
  5. Is a market free that does not respond to the needs of the consumer but instead provides a few with a monopoly on transferring wealth from the working problem-solvers to the playing problem-causers, e.g., financial bureaurcrats on Wall Street and Parisite Hiltons on Rodeo Drive.

Note: Fee Speech Is Not Free Speech.

Afterthoughts

  1. Hate speech is not free speech.
  2. Are political ads free speech? Do you feel freer from problems? Does the speech solve or cause problems.
